Solid Mechanics & Moving Mesh

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone,

I am simulating a Ni nano-wire in a magnetic fields, no current interface (mfnc) to investigate how this Ni wire will be aligned by a strong magnetic strength. I also added the solid mechanics interface plus moving mesh interface in this simulation. The motion of this Ni wire is moved by applying the Maxwell Stress Tensor from the mfnc interface to the boundary load of solid mechanics interface. Thus, I am wondering how I can explain why this two interfaces (solid mechanics & moving mesh) has to be coupled for the motion of Ni wire. Or there is another way to apply the force to the moving mesh directly without using the solid mechanics interface.

Thanks,
