Bio heat equation

Hi, I am using pennes' bioheat equation, say i have one tissue "brain". I am calculting temperature distribution inside it. The sourvce of the radiation is put at a distance 1 cm far from the tissue. The intial temperature is 37C for brain. Now after simulating it, for 1W radiated power, the temperature distribution for brain tissue is 37.05. It increases and reaches to 37.11 when i move the radiation soure from 1cm to 0cm. However, when i increase the distance of the source from 3 cm to 8 cm the value of the temperature in the tissue always stay 37.22. Why does it so? does the layer stop affecting by the source after reaching to a specific distance?
