domain and boudaries

Hello，

I am a beginner of Comsol soft ware, aiming at doing some charge particle simulation in the EM field. I am confused about domain and boundary selection, simply my understanding is domain is an entity, while boundary is a plane or surface, could someone give me more explainations?
