CFD Modeling Capabilities in COMSOL Multiphysics® Version 5.6
In this recorded webinar, you will learn about the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling capabilities as of version 5.6 of COMSOL Multiphysics®. This includes an overview of the relevant features and updates within the software. The webinar also covers the CFD Module and provides an introduction to the Polymer Flow Module and Particle Tracing Module. In addition, there are brief discussions regarding:
- Single-phase flow
- Multiphase flow
- Nonisothermal flow
- Heat transfer
- High Mach number flow
- Reacting flow
- Fluid–structure interaction
- Thin-film and porous media flow
The following models are referenced as examples in the recording and can be downloaded from the linked pages:
- Large Eddy Simulation of a Sports Car
- Supersonic Air-to-Air Ejector
- Porous Reactor with Injection Needle
This webinar is relevant to recently released versions of COMSOL Multiphysics®. You may notice small differences between versions.
You can read about the full functionality of the CFD Module here. To get more information on the functionality that was added or updated in each version of COMSOL Multiphysics®, see the Release History page.
