I would like to run either of the following studies for two bodies in sliding contact but am unsure how. If any of these are possible could you please give a brief discussion of how they would work?
Two bodies in contact. Bottom body is stantionary, the other top body is sliding. Is it possible to model: 1. The force needed to move the top body, if the COF, sliding speed, sliding displacement, and size of the objects are known? 2. The time it would take the move the top body x number of cycles, if the COF, lateral force, cycles, and displacement are known?
