Plotting a surface f(x)g(y) given data on a boundary

Sorry if dumb question, suppose I have a rectangle and have solved for f on one boundary (i.e. f(x)) and g on a perpendicular boundary (i.e. g(y)) and

How do I make a surface plot of f(x)*g(y) ??

So far (embarrassing) all I can work out is to create a PDE that has f.g as solution and solve for that, but I figure there must be a simpler way involving extrusions or projection or something.

Thanks, John
