Kinetic inductance

Hi,

I am simulating superconducting microwave resonators in COMSOL and I was wondering if there is a simple method of adding kinetic inductance to PEC boundary conditions. In other words: I have an empirical sheet inductance I would like to add to my simulations.

Interesting. I found this reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinetic_inductance

So... perhaps you could replace the PEC by an impedance boundary condition, and then specify the material properties of that boundary to include an expression for sigma that accounts for the kinetic inductance of interest to you? I don't know if that would actually work satisfactorily or not. I encourage others to offer additional suggestions.
