It requires the version 5.3.1.348 and won't be useful even for 5.3 version.

Dear Dr. Elabbasi,

I have a question regarding the computation of a phononic structure, I am trying to compute a band diagram of a phononic crystal but I would like to span four edges of the irreducible Brillouin zone (IBZ), not only 3 edges as in the tutorial file, and eventually to have my band diagram computed for a Bloch wavenumber spanning from Γ(0,0) to X(pi/L,0) to M(pi/L,pi/L) to Y (0,pi/L) and then back to Γ. Can you give me clues or ideas of what I should do to add a 4th segment on my band diagram going from Y to Γ? So far, I can only span 3 segments so my wavenumber goes from Γ(0,0) to X(pi/L,0) to M(pi/L,pi/L) to Y (0,pi/L). But I miss the segment from Y (0,pi/L) to Γ(0,0).

Thank You.

Best regards,
Bogdan

In this example can you please explain kx ky wave vectors. How you write these vectors??

Thank you.

Can you share the later transmission model?

Can you extract the frequencies associated with the perpendicular displacements?

To. Nagi.
I am really interested in acoustic metamaterials.
I wonder about how to implement the band structure and Brillouin zone using COMSOL Multiphysics.
Thank you so much.
from Kim.

How could I take the influence of thickness into account when using this model? I am looking forward to your reply.
