Hi,
Actually, i have reached recently the same point of view, i am trying to find the link which makes me able to use COMSOL multiphysics in my research.
My research is surrounding on modeling memristors with a finite element method, analyzing the i-v characteristics of a such a device and using it in thermal circuits.
I still don't know if it is possible or not, so i appreciate if you could help me.

Memristers conduct by filament formation, right? So modeling the insulator as a homogeneous material wouldn't work . It's a phase change but locally variable. So the resistance doesn't scale like thickness/area, as it would for a homogeneous material.

Is it possible to make a simulation of a memristor in COMSOL? Structure of a memristor is such that an insulator or a semiconductor is sandwiched between two metal electrodes. Can such a structure be made and in COMSOL? If yes, can its I-V plot be achieved?
Yes there are works regarding implementing memristor in COMSOL.
