Pressure Acoustics (acpr) Boundary Velocity condition

Hi all,

I am trying to set a boundary in motion with velocity, but the only boundary physics in this module I can find is normal acceleration, which does not give me correct results.

I have also tried the acoustic-thermoacoustic physics set but this also produced wrong results for me.

Does anybody know how I can simply assign a velocity to a boundary in the pressure acoustics physics?

Hi Chris,

You have to download the COMSOL version 5.2 or 5.2a in order to find that feature.

As mentioned by another user, the velocity boundary condition exists in version 5.2 and version 5.2a. In 5.1 it is very easy to set up manually. Say your velocity is 1[m/s]. Use a normal acceleration condition and write: acpr.iomega*1[m/s].

See for example the generic_711_coupler tutorial model.
