Using Deformed mesh with Solid mechanics and Wave optics

Hello,
My aim is to use solid mechanics to get beam deflection and then use the deformed shape of the beam in wave optics.
I followed the discussion on "How to use Deformed mesh?" and followed similar steps:
1. ALE, solid mechanics, wave optics in sequence
2. used solid mechanics for the beam only (fixed-fixed and boundary load) and wave optics for the beam+rest of the system
3. used ALE such that the boundaries between the beam and the rest of the system will follow beam deflection.

I have two study steps:
1. Stationary- active for solid mechanics and ale - for beam deflection
2. Modal Analysis- active for ale and wave optics

Is this right? My stationary step is not converging.
I am also doubtful whether the Modal Analysis step should be solved for ale physics or not.

Any suggestions will be helpful.
