Problems with convergence and periodic boundaries

Hello,

I simulate a 9 slot and 6 pole permanent magnet motor (BLAC) in 3d. I use the iterative GMRES-Solver. If I simualte the whole motor, the solver converge very fast within about 40 iterations for one linear solution.
Due to the number of slots and poles it is possible to simulate only 1/3 of the motor with periodic boundaries. If I do that, the solver convergence is very poor: it needs more then 10000 Itertions.
I try to improve this with the "Gauge Fixing for A-Field" node, but then I get the error message:

Failed to find a solution.
Matrix has zero on diagonal.
Returned solution is not converged.

Has anyone an idea what is wrong here?

Regards
