Flux in 2D

I have 2d model in COMSOL, and I want to define a flux as my boundary condition. (For convection-diffusion as well as convection-conduction application mode). As COMSOL assumes 3D in all cases, flux is required to be in W/m^2. I wonder what I should put as the area of my boundary
Is it enough just to divide the flow by length of my boundary?
Thanks
