Does that process obey a partial differential equation (PDE)? If so, and you can identify the PDE that applies, then you'll be in a much better position to choose an approach.

Hello Roberto,
If you've never used COMSOL before, your best starting point is the Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics Manual, version 5.2a, found under File > Help >Documentation, and also here:
cdn.comsol.com/documentation/5.2.1.262/IntroductionToCOMSOLMultiphysics.pdf
Working through the tutorials it contains will help you get comfortable with the general workflow of the software and its graphical user interface. Once you're past that point, you should be able to start creating a model and ask more specific questions.
Best regards,
Jeff
