Adding terms to the equations of a given CFD physics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Good afternoon

I am interested in the viscoelastic fluid. The equation I want to integrate is equation number (1) of the paper I'm sending in annex. It is the Navier Stokes equation in the Stokes regime with two extra-terms (one depending on the second derivative of the velocity on time and another on the gradient of pressure). I believe it is possible to modify the incompressible stokes flow module (of Multiphysics) changing the default equations.

I have now access to Comsol 4 and I am having trouble on finding a good explanation on how to change these terms in equations of CFD physics. I don't seem to find the global equation view where these could be implemented. I also don't know how to use weak contribution forms. Could anyone help me with this procure, either with a short explanation, good reference on documentation material (or book) or any similar example.

Than you very much.

Best regards
