Hello everyone,
I am currently attempting to model photons created by placing a charged particle beam in a magnetic field. I pieced together a simulation from one of the COMSOL example applications that seems to accurately model the displacement of an electron beam in a magnetic field.
At this point I would like to use a series of boundaries along the path of the charged particle beam along with secondary emission conditions which would create non-charged and preferably massless particles (photons) that I could then plot and even use for calculating an incident heat load. Unfortunately, I can't seem create secondary particles with zero charge within the cpt interface (Maybe there is a work around using the collisions node). Now I am seeking to use the trajectory of the charged particle beam in a magnetic field and somehow implement that in to a geometrical pt, mathematical pt, or ray optics interface in order to come up with the tangential photon radiation. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see a sample model with my current progress.
Any help or hints that might get me started in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
