modal analysis with cylindrical coordinates

Hello every one;
i want to simulate an optical fiber (step or graded) and getting the results in cylindrical coordinates for exemple instead of getting (Ex; Ey;Ez) i get (Er; Ephi;Ez). i am familiar with cartesian coordinates only. please send me steps to changes that coordinates system. i am using EMW; RF model. best regards alaaeddine
