Leak simulation in a double pipe heat exchanger

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

I am simulating a double pipe heat-exchanger.

A double pipe heat-exchanger is a simple assembly with a pipe inside another big pipe. The fluid in inner pipe is A and another fluid B passes through the annular section of the asembly.

I want to simulate a condition in which the inner pipe has some holes / cracks on its surface.

But the issue is, the moment I create the hole, the fluid domain combines and only one fluid remains.

Can I simulate a scene in which, a fluid is leaking into another??

Please help me in this case.

thank you.

Parag,

If the fluid on side side of the pipe is same than you can use single domain. if they have different proeprties than you need to use multiphase.
