Hi all,

I want to simulate an fracture, where water can flow.
I divided my geometry to into a low Permeability (10e-20) and Storage =0,
and the fracture that presents 3 zones with permeability
zone1=10e-12
zone2=10e-10
zone3=10e-8

I have defined as boundary conditions no flow everywhere but the fracture zone.
In the fracture zone (up and down) I have defined a Hydraulic Head.

My concern has to do with the the velocity field, where to the edges of the fracture, I observe high and low velocities.

Why is that?

Have you tried refining the mesh?

I tried the finest mesh, and I still get those effects.
Can this be related to boundary conditions?
