Question about weak PDE physics interface

Hi everyone: I am wondering whether the weak PDE physics interface has to solve the dependent variable that I defined in this interface? For example, I defined p as dependent variable but the equation I input in the interface is: (J-1/J0-Omegac)test(p),where (J-1/J0-Omega*c) is independent of p. Can this interface solve p for me ? Or this is a wrong equation which I should include p in the equation instead? Thanks a lot!
