External Functions (non-Matlab) example

In the API Reference Guide, there is an example external function library given (p. 75-76). I am wondering if there is an example Comsol model or Java file that shows exactly how this is used.

Unfortunately, the I do not have access to the LiveLink for Matlab, and I was hoping for a way to incorporate existing C scripts into my Comsol models.
