I am simulating a modulator in COMSOL. Firstly, I have made a 1D component to solve semiconductor physics ,Secondly I have made a 2D component for solving electromagnetic physics. The thing that links these 2 physics is carrier dependent material model in electromagnetic part and I have a Drude model which depends on electron concentration. I have a problem about using electron concentration of component1 in the refractive index part of material of component2.I placed Ne in Drude formula and put it in refractive index of component 2 but I got errors. I am so confused that how I can use carrier concentraion results of component 1 in material part of component2. I appreciate any comments from you.
