mesh size

couple of times i came across a situation where the solution converge for bigger element size whereas it does'nt converge for a smaller element size.
how is this possible

it's possible if you setup something incorrectly. Then it's probably a coincidence that bigger mesh gives correct result. With the proper settings, solution should converge as you decrease mesh size.

another possibility is that the convergence is not monotonic. Again, by accident you hit the right spot with bigger mesh.
