Inconsistent Initial Conditions error

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I'm trying to model the natural convection and heat transfer of an ullage gas on top of an ellipsoidally-capped liquid hydrogen tank. Eventually I will have a cooling fin inside this tank, so I have to work with 3D space. I have set up a quarter section of this tank to reduce the computational demand, and I have two symmetry boundary conditions. I am working with the non-isothermal flow physics model.

By default, the model adds thermal insulation boundary conditions on all boundaries. If I have no heat flux or temperature boundaries added, then the model works fine and can find a solution. However, once I add a heat flux coming in from what represents the outer wall, then I get an error that says "Inconsistent Initial Conditions." I've checked, and once I add the heat flux to the boundary I want, the insulation boundary condition on that particular wall becomes overridden. I think that's what I want, however, I still receive the error. What is the problem? The file is attached.

Best,
Jerry Vera
