How to create 3D surface models from stacks of 2D image data

I have 2D slice (images) of the object scanned using a micro CT instrument.  I would like to know how to create 3D surface models from stacks of 2D image data.

I want to do a pore-scale fluid flow simulation based on geometry created using a 2D image stack.  Thanks
