I am trying to solve the 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on a test problem involving Poiseuille flow in a pipe. I am not confident with using the weak form, so instead I decided to try to specify the equations by using the Coefficient Form.
I include in an image the non-zero tensors that COMSOL requires, but COMSOL fails to obtain a solution (maximum Newton iterations exceeded).
The boundary conditions are no-slip on the interior of the duct (u = v = w = 0 there), p = 2 on one end and p = 1 on the other (a pressure gradient which drives the flow).
I don't understand why this isn't working, and it seems to have come up at least once before on this forum without a satisfactory answer. Is there something I may have missed?
