Electric potential difference on both sides of a circle edge

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I need to calculate the difference between the electric potentials on both sides of a circle edge. I tried using an Edge 2D and then generating a line graph in a 1D plot group, but that way I could only calculate the potential on the edge itself and that is not what I need. Does anyone know how I can do it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

the solved variables are fields f(x,y,z,t, ...) so if you want to make a difference between the value of a variable for two spatial coordinates you must define a way to project the value of the other coordinate onto the location where you want evaluate your difference.
Check the "Definitions - Model coupling - projection (possible extrusion too)" and learn how to use these (check the doc and search the Forum)

Good luck
