Fractional derivatives model for viscoelastic material in COMSOL

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello

I want to model a viscoelastic material in COMSOL, so I drew a block and selected a material from the software library (polyisobutylene). Then, after choosing "solid mechanics", I added a hyperelastic material so that I could select the "viscoelasticity" option.

In the "viscoelasticity" tab there's a section called "material model", which allows the following options: Maxwell generalization, standard linear solid, Kelvin-Voigt.

The thing is that I don't want to use any of those models but the fractional derivatives model, which you can see in the attached figures. What should I do?

Thank you

Fractional derivatives in COMSOL are so far only supported for frequency domain analysis, that is a linear type of study. That is why they only exist for Viscoelasticity under the Linear Elastic Material node. For infinitesimal strains, there is no need to use an hyperelastic material.
