Reference for thermally-thin layer

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi my friends,

I'm trying to simulate steady heat conduction problem, with a metal film embedded inside the domain. Thermally-thin layer suits my need, but I'd like to know the physics and PDE behind it (though it's displayed in COMSOL software).

Is there any reference why thermally thin boundary condition have this form? Any papers or textbooks are great.

Besides, how should this boundary condition be realized into the weak form when it's inside the domain?
