Question on objective function for 'horn_shape_optimization' for own design

pm=intop1(r*besselj(0,acpr.k*r*sin(theta))*pz)
(where intop1 is the integration over the boundary on the outlet; bessel is the bessel function and pz is the z derivative of pressure)
I have no idea what this translates into for my design which does not have radial symmetry. What would this equation be for say a horn built into a 2D slab on the outlet boundary? I am new to acoustics, sorry.
Also, is there any benefit to using this objective function over say taking the maximum sound pressure level in the ambient?
Thank you for any help
Alex
