Modeling 3D Induction heating with Frequency-Stationary simulation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am trying to simulate induction heating due to a spiral inductor with different core materials. I want to perform a Frequency-Stationary analysis. I have the following problems:

1. The usual terminals of "Current" and "Ground" that are available in the Magnetic Electric Fields (mef) Physics suddenly disappears when the Induction heating Physics (ih) is used (although it combines the same mef module with the heat transfer module). Is there a way to get around this and specify a specific current/ground terminals in the Induction heating module?

2. I tried specifying a lumped port instead. At the input I specified a uniform current and at the output I specified a 50 ohm termination. But the solver in this case gives a "Error in uniform lumped port set up"

Any help with 1. or 2. would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Arvind
