Problem with GPU acceleration

Hi. I have this problem with the hardware acceleration in Comsol. - Feature: Time-Dependent Solver 1 (sol1/t1) Invalid dependency in boundary flux for GPU calculations. I'm trying to simulate the wave propagation in a gelatinous phantom.

Hi Sergio

The hardware acceleration is only available for the Pressure Acoustics, Time Explicit physics interface in version 6.3 of COMSOL Multiphysics. So, if you try to add it in the solver you will get an error as the Elastic Waves interface is not prepared for this.

Please have a look at the release highlights: https://www.comsol.com/release/6.3/acoustics-module

I also noticed in our model that you wish to compute the displacement in the structure. Note that there is built-in functionality for that. You can add a sub-node to the Elastic Waves, Time Explicit Model material, that computes the displacement.

Best regards Mads

Thanks for the reply. Is there another option to accelerate the simulation? My program lasts 4 hours to complete it. And are there plans to add the GPU computing feature to elastic waves module?
