COMSOL 3.5a--Shared Memory Parallelism

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi

I am running COMSOL 3.5a in parallel (shared memory parallelism) to solve convection-diffusion equation.

The run-time required to solve this problem is more than 24hrs. But the wall time is restricted to 24hrs in the cluster. Hence, I re-submitted the job with the solution at the last time as the initial value (by specifying the initial value as the current solution in the Solver Manager). But COMSOL is taking the initial value as the one given in the initial value tab in the Subdomain settings dialogue box.

I even tried the 'store solution' option in the Solver Manager. But then also COMSOL is taking the initial value as the one given in the initial value tab in the Subdomain settings dialogue box.

Is there a solution for this problem? I submit the input file as .mph

Or is it possible to upload the initial values as a text file?

Regards,
Seetha
