Solenoid Valve

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I would like to ask you a question. I have to simulate a solenoid valve for a project. I think it will be quite complicated to simulate it because i would have to take into account the magnetic forces generated by the current going through the solenoid which would move a ferromagnetic core which would open the valve and then i would have the flow forces. And also there is a spring which would also generate a force.

So I am not quite sure how to start...should i first try to draw the geometry of the valve all together and then select the different materials and apply the equations to them? or should i just go piece by piece and then put it all together? I would really appreciate to get some advise to be able to get started :)

Thanks

Best regards

Gonzalo
