Mixed variables boundary condition

I have two coupled differential equations with two dependent variables u(x,y) and v(x,y) to solve. I need a boundary condition with mixed variables u(x,1)+v(x,1)=10. How can I imposed such boundary condition? I give it as the boundary condition for variable u or v? Thank you very much.
