How to add dimensionless velocity to a convection-diffusion equation?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

The velocity on the circle is this:

u= 1 - (x^2-y^2)/(4*(x^2+y^2)^2)
v=-0.5*(x*y)/(x^2+y^2)^2

The problem i face is that the units on that is 1/m^2 and I'm not sure if I added it in correctly under Beta as the units for Beta is 1/m (in the equation section). I just don't know how else I could add it in.

Secondly, how do I add in a velocity profile at the left boundary condition with a velocity of 1?

I also wonder which model would be better to use? The general form coefficient PDE or the convection-diffusion equation? Or something else?

Thanks,
David
