The growing demand for green energy conversion and storage methods has renewed interest in the development of hydrogen technologies such as fuel cells, water electrolyzers, and steam reformers. Incorporating multiphysics simulation into the R&D process for hydrogen technologies provides engineers with a better mechanistic understanding of designs.

This archived webinar introduces how the COMSOL Multiphysics® software's modeling capabilities can reduce the time and cost of hydrogen technology development throughout the value chain. We cover modeling examples of the common hydrogen production pathways, hydrogen storage and transportation technology, and fuel cells for energy conversion. The presentation concludes with a demo of setting up and solving a nonisothermal proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) model in the software.
