On-site: COMSOL Multiphysics® Intensive Training Course (2 Days) - Zurich

If you are looking for an intensive introduction to using COMSOL Multiphysics^®, this is the course for you. This 2-day course will start at an introductory level, covering the essential steps needed in all analyses (geometry creation, meshing, model setup, results evaluation, etc.) Then, we will move into more advanced topics, such as solution techniques and multiphysics modeling.

To teach this course, we use a combination of lecture and self-guided hands-on training. The goal is to immerse you in all of the main aspects of using COMSOL Multiphysics^® so that you develop a strong foundation for your future multiphysics modeling work and feel confident solving your simulation problems.

Day 1: Monday, January 26, 9:00–17:00

Please plan to check in between 8:30–9:00.

The first day will primarily be focused on optimizing your usage of the software. We will discuss the Model Builder and Application Builder in COMSOL Multiphysics^® as well as introduce the COMSOL Server™ product. You will learn about important considerations for preparing your geometry for analysis, working in the COMSOL^® software environment, and extracting information from your model.

• Unit 3: Meshing
• Unit 4: Single-Physics Models
• Unit 5: Study Extensions

Day 2: Tuesday, January 27, 9:00–17:00

Please plan to check in between 8:30–9:00.

The second day will build upon the training from the previous day with more examples.

• Unit 6: CAD Import and Advanced Meshing
• Unit 7: Solver Basics
• Unit 8: Solving Multiphysics Models
• Unit 9: Visualization

Suggested Background

This course is suitable for anyone with an engineering, physics, or science background.

No previous experience with the COMSOL Multiphysics^® software is required.

This course will be held in English. Personal assistance in German, English, Italian, and French can be provided.

Please bring your laptop to the event so that you can get hands-on practice right away. All participants will receive a 14-day free trial license of the current COMSOL Multiphysics^® software version.
