Electromagnetics Simulation of Printed Circuit Boards in COMSOL Multiphysics® - Archived

Characterizing the electromagnetic properties of PCBs plays a key role in application areas including 5G, the internet of things (IoT), radar, and RFID systems. Electromagnetics simulation enables engineers to evaluate PCBs before producing physical prototypes, therefore reducing development costs and time.

In this webinar, we will discuss how to model the electromagnetic performance of PCBs from kHz up to GHz frequencies using COMSOL Multiphysics®. We will also cover modeling approaches in different frequency domains. Additionally, there will be a live demonstration of how to model PCB coils in the kHz range using the AC/DC Module, an add-on product to the COMSOL Multiphysics® software, as well as how to model an RF device in the GHz range using the RF Module. We will conclude the event with a Q&A session.
