Multiphysics Modeling for Acoustics Applications, Part 1: Acoustic–Structure Interaction (Vibroacoustics)

When structures vibrate, they generate sound — and when sound excites structures, vibration follows. Vibroacoustic analysis is essential for understanding sound production, transmission, and reception, as well as for designing acoustic transducers and mitigating noise in acoustic systems.
This webinar will focus on the capabilities of the COMSOL Multiphysics® software for modeling acoustic–structure interactions where structural vibrations and acoustic pressure fields are strongly coupled. Through practical, application-driven examples, we will show how coupled acoustic–structure models can be used to analyze and optimize acoustic devices. We will also discuss effective strategies for minimizing unwanted vibrations and noise by virtually experimenting with acoustic materials and system designs.
