GRP Antenna Modelling in RF Module in Time & Frequency Domain

I have some questions regarding antenna modelling in the RF Module, which I'm doing for my masters thesis. Does anyone have experience regarding this subject? In any case, here are my questions. I have a model of two bow-tie antennas where one transmitts and the other receives the signal. I have modelled the antennas as mere surfaces, and defined the area between the antenna "wings" as lumped ports. At the receiver antenna, I get a Voltage signal in the time domain which looks similar to a real signal (which I have). However, I cannot say anything to the accuracy of the model. Does anyone have hints or tips regarding this?
I have also simulated the same thing in the frequency domain, the reasoning being to cut model size and simulation times. The aim was to fourier transform the results over a frequency range, back to the time domain. I hereby obtain a signal in the time domain which does not look like real signal. Again I cannot say anything regarding the accuracy or correctness of my approach, as I didnt find similar problems/models in the internet.
I would be very glad for any help
