Placement of Electromagnetic Field in a Photonic Crystal Fiber

I'm having some trouble in a certain problem I'm trying to model. I'm trying to simulate and model the mode propagation in a photonic crystal fiber, but for certain wavelengths (for wavelengths the same order of the spacing between holes), the mode doesn't propagate at the center of the fiber as it's supposed to. I was wondering if there's any possible way in choosing the spot or coordinates at which the field is being propagated. In my case, I want it to place the field at the center of the fiber. I'm using a 2D model, using the RF module. The photonic crystal has a typical triangular lattice structure. I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this issue. I think that by being able to place the field at the center of the fiber will solve my problem. If anyone has any other suggestion, it will be welcomed. I'm running out of ideas to solve my problem.
