I have a 2D array where there ia a region of a certain dielectric material and the remaining is air (figure 1). My aim is to obtain the band structure and curves of transmission, absorption and reflection versus the frequency of the incident electromagnetic wave. I am trying to validate my Comsol program with the same problem but solved by J. Pendrive utilizing the method of "Transfer Matrix". It can be seen in figure 2 that the band strucutre gives the same values for both methods. Nevertheless when the transmission versus frequency is analyzed the results do not agree (figure 3).
