Hi
Normally you need to define either a new Linear Elastic Material node with Anisotropy material in the settings, and then define the tensor w.r.t the global coordinate system, or change the default Lienar Elastic Material node (all of "Solid" in V4

Good luck

Hi Ivar
I have a problem in defining the anisotropic electrical steel in COMSOL. As you know, electrical steels have different permeability in different directions. Higher permeability in rolling direction and lower ones in transverse and normal to the plane directions. For each direction (for example rolling direction) we have a B-H curve. Know I want to apply B-H curves in other directions to my model (define my material as an anisotropic). To define this I go to the magnetic field node and select the Ampere Law related to the domain. Under the magnetic field section by selecting the relative permeability from the pop down menu it is possible to define the domain as an anisotropic material. But the problem is that COMSOL provides just a matrix. This means that I can not define the permeability as a function of H or B. Would you please guide me how can I define the properties of the non-linear anisotropic material in COMSOL? I have some data points and I want to have insert them as a look up table.
Regards
Hamid
