Airlift Pump simulation,multiphase

Hi everyone;
I tried to simulate the airlift pump in the COMSOL 4.0. the boundary an initial conditions are well defined. Once I used pressure boundary for entrance of air and water and outlet and once I used pressure boundary for water and outlet and velocity boundary for air. I also tried 2D, 2D axisymmetric and 3D model (stationary and time dependent). For all cases the software failed to solve the problem. it returns the error that "Failed to find a solution: No convergence, even when using the minimum damping factor. Returned solution has not converged." or the error that says: "Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged."

has anyone works on the topic of airlift or multiphase flow?Can anyone help me please?
