Electric Conductivity (Sigma)

Hi,

In a Model Library of COMSOL, there is an example named " Separation through Electrocoalescence" which deals with fluid flow and electrostatic. In defining the Material section of this tutorial, nothing is said about the electric conductivity of the Oil phase. In defining the oil phase, the viscosity and density of this phase are just specified.

I have a question about this procedure, I want to know that electric conductivity of the oil phase is not important in this simulation ?? in other words, this problem does not depend on the electric conductivity of the phases ??

Best regards,
