Error: Failed to evaluate operator double Jacobian. - Operator: mean

Hi all,

I am new to 4.2, and fairly novice to Comsol in general. I am coupling laminar flow (spf) with heat transfer and the moving mesh (ALE), and I keep getting the error above, which I can't locate in any discussion or documentation. I get the same error whether I enable the moving mesh or not. I did not get this error in 3.5a.

Anyone else?

Thanks
Catherine

Hello,

I'm having the same problem. I have an evolutionary model (chmm + 2*chcc) that runs in 3.5a and when I try to run it in 4.2 doesn't start because Time Dependent Solver 1 (Sol1/t1) cannot evaluate operator jacobian.

Any suggestions?

Hi

that probably means you have some Boolean or Dirac type BC defined so that COSOL cannot catch the derivatives of the variables w.r.t. a parameter sweep or the time variable

not easy to say more just like that

Good luck
