d operator and dtang operator

Hi, is there any one knowing the difference between the operator d(f,x) and the operator dtang(f,x). When I use the d(f,x) operator in COMSOL 5.3a, there is an error. But when I use dtang(f,x) instead, it works out. can someone tell me the difference between these two operators?
