FSI Model: Deformable moving solid spheres in a pipe flow

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello Everyone, I am new to COMSOL and hence I am sorry if I am unable to explain the details more clearly.

I am trying to develop a FSI model to simulate deformable spheres moving in blood vessels.(Simple Pipe flow kind of geometry) .Iam not sure what exact FSI physics model/ Multiphysics coupling to use. I have tried to use FSI-membrane and and simple FSI-solid interaction models but the deformable solid domain doesn’t seem to move with response to the surrounding fluid field (fluid forces) and stays stationary. Can there be something wrong with my moving mesh settings or it’s boundary conditions and not sure about the boundary conditions for the mesh,(its a axysmmetric problem and I am trying to set a 2D model first) If possible suggest me examples from the application library that could be relevant.

Thank you Adarsh
