circular waves water

Hey

you know that circular waves in water? (when you let fall a projectil etc)

what module physics to use in comsol to simulate those waves?

Hi

to start simple, I would model that as a 2D membrane, starting in structural.

But ideally one would think of fluidics "physics"
.
It's an interesting question: How to start the simplest way to model a given phenomena, then to gradually make it more realistic.
This is/was the "classical" way when one want to solve a problem analytically, but today, with multiphysics pre-cooked programmes, one forget to go by steps, plunging into deep water, with the risk to get drown before the model runs ...
